Teresa Silva (Lisbon, 1988) attended the Escola de Dan\u00e7a do Conservat\u00f3rio Nacional, the Escola Superior de Dan\u00e7a (Bachelor Degree in Dance) and the PEPCC – Programa de Estudo, Pesquisa e Cria\u00e7\u00e3o Coreogr\u00e1fica, administered by Forum Dan\u00e7a. She was trained by Deborah Hay, Meg Stuart, Vera Mantero, Lo\u00efc Touz\u00e9, Francisco Camacho, Jeremy Nelson, Jo\u00e3o Fiadeiro, Julien Hamilton, Miguel Pereira, Clara Andermatt, Emmanuelle Huynh, Lisa Nelson, Mark Tompkins, Patr\u00edcia Portela and Jo\u00e3o Tabarra among others. <\/p>\n
She participated, as a grant recipient of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in the DanceWeb Scholarship Programme 2011 at the Festival Impulstanz Vienna.
\nAs a performer, she highlights her work with Marco d’Agostin in Avalanche, Lo\u00efc Touz\u00e9 in Forme Simple, Fanfare and \u00d4 Montagne, Liz Santoro & Pierre Godard in For Claude Shannon, David Marques in Ressaca, Rita Nat\u00e1lio in Museu Encantador, Tiago Guedes in Hoje, Lu\u00eds Guerra in Nevoeiro, T\u00e2nia Carvalho in Icosahedron, Ana Borralho & Jo\u00e3o Galante in World of Interiors, Sofia Dias & V\u00edtor Roriz in O mesmo mas ligeiramente diferente, Mariana Tengner Barros in Pe\u00e7a do Cora\u00e7\u00e3o, Luiz Antunes and S\u00e9rgio Diogo Matias in Pastiche (replacement) and Maria Ramos in Nerves Like Nylon (replacement), among others.
\nSince 2008, she has been developing her own work as a creator, with highlights including the solo Ocooo, with the artistic accompaniment of Lo\u00efc Touz\u00e9; A vida enorme\/La vie en or co-created with Maria Lemos; Leva a m\u00e3o que eu levo o bra\u00e7o and Um Espanto n\u00e3o se Espera, both created in collaboration with Elizabete Francisca (both winners of the Contest Jovens Criadores); and the adaptation of the solo Conquest by Deborah Hay, as part of the program Improvisa\u00e7\u00f5es\/Colabora\u00e7\u00f5es, comissioned by the Serralves Foundation; and the co-creations with Filipe Pereira, Letting Nature take over us again, O que fica do que passa and Nova Cria\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
Since 2012, she has been teaching at Forum Dan\u00e7a, for the PEPCC training, and lecturing workshops on her own creations. More recently, she has collaborated with other artists on projects connected to pedagogy within the context of contemporary dance and performative arts.
