VER NO ESCURO is the club of spectators of Materiais Diversos, created in 2017 for the territories where Materiais develops its programme – Minde, Alcanena and Cartaxo. It aims to promote a regular meeting between artists and audiences, but also the meeting of spectators among themselves, constituting an ephemeral community. For three seasons, once a month, interested people watched a show and talked about the issues it raised.<\/p>\n

In times of contagion and isolation, we thought that this would be the best way to be together. If we cannot make our encounter in the theater possible, we can make it possible thanks to the theater – in images, ideas and words. Gathered together to “see in the dark”, we will continue to resist banality and to feed (our) world with other sensibilities and visions. Gathered together to see in the dark, we will continue to imagine humanity.<\/p>\n

So we adapted the club to a place of multiple possibilities, the online one, and to a time of many expectations. The meeting will continue to be monthly and will count with the special presence of a guest (a) to talk about selected shows and share concerns that contaminate arts, society and politics.<\/p>\n
