Didascálias
Based on the didascalia of three classic theatre texts, the work revisits the domestic spaces described in the texts and the imagery of “home” that they carry. Two performers play with words and time to construct other spaces, figures and relationships. The unfolding of this game of constructing and deconstructing leaves the question hanging in the balance: what can be imagined from these words that were written not to be spoken?
*Didascalias: In theatre texts, they describe the time and space in which the drama takes place. They also serve as indications for the actors’ performances. They are also known as rubrics.
