2026

Audience Club with Nuno Preto

In the second half of 2026, the Audience Club returns with a new format, bringing together performances programmed by Cine-Teatro São Pedro de Alcanena and Materiais Diversos.

The Audience Club begins on 11 October with Baile Mecânico, by Andresa Olímpio, created with members of the local community. On 24 October, the Club will attend sharings by some of the artists in residence during the fim de semana materiais adversos, as well as Fantasie minor, by Marco da Silva Ferreira, presented at Praça do Coreto in Minde. As these are works still in development rather than finished performances, the sharings offer participants the opportunity to follow the artistic process more closely and contribute to the conversation and feedback that are part of the creative process itself. On 6 November, the journey continues at Cine-Teatro São Pedro in Alcanena, with Piny and the presentation of a.travessa.da. To close the year, the final meeting will be dedicated to a performance by the local theatre group Boca de Cena, on 8 December.

After each presentation, the Audience Club comes together for a moment of conversation, exchange and collective reflection around the experiences, questions and concerns raised by the works.

This new format of the Audience Club will be moderated by Nuno Preto, actor and theatre director. He was a member of Teatro da Palmilha Dentada and collaborated with Teatro Oficina between 2017 and 2020 as a facilitator and actor. He later collaborated with Museu do Porto, coordinating and creating content for Rádio Estação between 2020 and 2022. He currently co-directs the collective Espaço Invisível, an artistic creation and cultural mediation organisation through which he develops artistic projects and participatory programmes.

The Club aims to be a space for meeting, listening, conversation and collective reflection, where different artistic practices intersect with different ways of seeing, feeling and thinking as spectators.
